E-Mailed The CEO Of The Rehabilitation Facility I Am Attending
[ Saturday December 10th 2016 at 12:15 am ]

There is a poster displayed at the physiotherapy clinic I attend which I find to be very discriminatory. It discourages patients from being concerned when their pain doesn't match their diagnostic imaging (x-ray, MRI, CT scan, etc.) reports. I find this very offensive because of having experienced numerous "false negative". There has been several instances where surgical intervention was warranted but my x-ray's and MRI images didn't show the details needed. It was a fight to get the help I was needing.

I've just e-mailed the rehabilitation organization's CEO asking for an in person meeting to ask that the offending poster be removed. If the clinic is unwilling to remove it I've made the decision to discharge myself. I've e-mailed a friend of mine elsewhere in Ontario who is a physiotherapist to ask if he would oversee my physiotherapy if I make the decision to discharge myself.
