Another Setback Impeding My Physiotherapy Program
[ Sunday November 13th 2016 at 10:07 am ]

When I stood up for my morning transfer from my bed to the wheelchair my right knee joint popped immediately followed by:

  • Swelling where my knee cap and ligament below knee cap is indiscernible as being in my body
  • Stiffness
  • Blunt
  • Throbbing
  • Stabbing / Very sharp pain sensation

It is going to be another 3 - 5 days before my right knee joint has recovered and calmed down. I am unable to do 5 of the 8 exercises which involve my right knee joint bending.

I've just wrote and faxed another letter to the physiotherapy. I am all in. I am trying to be cooperative. But I just can't do the exercises I've been assigned. There is a very real possibility that I will be discharged as untreatable.

When I arrived home from my physiotherapy intake appointment on November 10th 2016 I created charts to track how many repeats of each exercise I am able to do each day. In my letter I've proposed using these charts to discern a pattern in my right knee joint. I also have a separate chart for tracking the popping in my right knee joint and the pedometer I wear each day.
