First Walk On Day 3 Post Surgery
[ Saturday November 29th 2025 at 10:03 am ]

This mornings walk had impeccable timing. I finished eating my breakfast. Then I had time for my food to digest. After this I was ready to go for a walk.

When the nursing did my morning blood pressure and medication she told me to ring my call bell when I wanted to get up for some walks today. I rang the bell. I was the next patient to be seen by the physiotherapist. The physiotherapist was just about to enter my room. The physiotherapist said the equivalent of having a patient that wants help.

I have pushed myself with the physiotherapist being with me. I walked (3) groups of 12 feet with breaks with the physiotherapist watching over me. I need to see how my hip pain does. The guideline is not to cause pain that lasts for more than hour. I still need to be careful not to trigger my knee pain and so it stays is manageable.

I like my new artificial hip. I trust it. With how bad the pain was before my operation I am not finding the recovery process too hard.
