First Physiotherapy Inpatient Appointment Following My Right Artificial Hip Revision Surgery

I had my first lesson learning how to walk this morning. It went okay. I walked 8 feet, had a 5 minute break and then walked another 8 feet. The problem is that this created 2½ hours of knee pain. The advice I have received is not to engage in physiotherapy that causes pain for more than 1 hour. The reason is that this is doing more harm than good. This was with using the high strength Lidocaine gel applied to my knee that my pain management doctor advised me to use for managing my knee pain. I think I am going to need to have several small walks to rebuild my ability to walk 50 feet.
