Birthday Money

I received some money for my birthday. I've just deposited the cheque into my bank account. I've already prepared a letter to my disability case worker for the reporting that is expected of me. This won't impact my disability pension. I am doing what is expected of me.
My sump pump is needing replacing. This money has arrived in a timely fashion. It will certainly help me. I figure I need close to $600 CAD for this maintenance. Besides replacing the sump pump I am also investing in a battery backup sump pump.
This will be money well spent. I would rather be investing in my sump pump instead of replacing a water damaged furnace.
