Talked To A Neighbor About Welding Additional Supports Into My Mobility Scooter
[ Sunday August 19th 2018 at 8:10 pm ]

I went to see a neighbor tonight. He is in the fair smash up derby each year. I originally asked him if he had a welder and asked if I could try it. I explained I was considering buying one and wanted to know I was capable and then explained what it is for. He is happy to do this.

He told me to check a local pawn shop. He just saw 2 for under $70. He is also willing to do the welding. I will consider this. If I could buy a used welder this makes sense. Otherwise I think I would just as well ask if I could pay him just to get it done and over with.

He is going to come over tomorrow evening to have a look and give me some hands on practical advice of how he would proceed. It is like a partnership. I try to do for myself what is practical and reasonable. However it isn't worth me ending up in unbearable pain for a few days for a bit of welding. It is more important that my new mobility scooter is strengthened and will last. In the end who did the welding isn't really important.
