Paying Back A Debt

Back in 2004 a friend sold me his vehicle. We agreed on payments. It was going well. Suddenly about 2 years later is when I lost the use of my left hip joint. I just couldn't keep the payments up with all the time I was taking off work for my medical treatment.
I never forgot about the money I owed him. When I knew this installment was coming I contacted him and told him I wanted to finish paying for the car. He was grateful and also amazed about the integrity this demonstrates.
Today I paid him back. I am glad to have this off my mind. I value having integrity. It isn't that I am perfect. I am trying really hard to make something out of my life.
