Arranged For My Dental Pre-Med

I have a dental appointment scheduled for October 26th 2026. I am having to use 2000 mg Amoxicillin before my dental appointments for 2 years because of my recent joint replacement surgeries. This is because there is increased blood flow to each joint as it heals. The concern is cleaning the teeth increases the amount of bacteria released into my body. This causes an increased chance of an artificial joint becoming infected during this 2 year window. It isn't worth the risk. Once 2 years have passed the risk is the same as everyone else and the use of Amoxicillin is no longer medically warranted. I have just arranged for the Amoxicillin prescription to be filled for my upcoming dental appointment
