Treatment For The Sore Above My Left Ankle

I skinned above my ankle by accident 5 days ago. I accidentally rubbed it against some wood while I was trying to take a few steps. This took some skin off. The sore above my ankle isn't recovering. It isn't getting worse. But it isn't improving. I just had an appointment with my family doctor. He has prescribed antibiotic medication to help my body recover. This will get my body on track. Then it should be able to finish recovering in approximately 2 weeks.
