Power Supply Replacement For Servers Is Done

My friend Andy has come to help and visit me this afternoon.
The power supplies for my servers started burning out after between 7 and 10 years of service. I am really struggling to bend and reach right now because of my recent surgery. I can't do this for myself. My friend Andy did this for me. He has plugged them in where I want them. My servers are protected with a UPS battery backup - surge protector. As long as there is an Internet signal my website will stay online even during a power outage. If there is a power surge in theory the UPS battery backup - surge protector will sacrifice itself and my servers will be fine once they are powered on again.
I had a bit of comic relief during this. Computers are going to do what they want in their own time. I have specific software packages installed on the servers that had their power supplies replaced. One of them came back after about 75 seconds. The other one took around 2 minutes. I got impatient with it. I am going to have to make myself a label reminding me of this in another decade. The reason I see this as comic relief is because I don't take life so serious that I am not unwilling to laugh at myself.
Besides the practical help Andy and I spent about 2 hours visiting. It was really nice. He is on the maintenance team for train rail signalling infrastructure. I find this particularly interesting. I understand micro circuits. It is very interesting and assuring hearing what goes into the rail infrastructure to keep passenger train service safe in Canada.
