Soaking My Next Dwarf Banana Plant Seeds For Germination
[ Thursday October 3rd 2024 at 12:26 pm ]

The dwarf banana plant seeds I ordered arrived a few days ago. At the time I was dealing with another migraine headache triggered by my knee pain. I left doing this for a day when I'd enjoy it more.

I have just done the first step in growing a dwarf banana plant from seed. The seeds I purchased are in a dormant state. The shell that contains the seed needs to be breached in order for a plant to grow. This is achieved by scoring the seed shell and then submerging it in water for 1 to 2 days. I have just done this. It is my first time growing a dwarf banana plant from seed. I won't know if I have been successful for about a month. I wasn't sure how hard to push when scoring the seed shell. The idea is to make it easier for water to breach through the shell to start the seed growing. If a plant grows I will have done this correctly.

A month from now is when a dwarf banana plant should appear. I am excited. I enjoy trying new things. This isn't to mention how much I enjoyed looking at my previous dwarf banana plant while soaking my legs in really warm water. If it doesn't work out this time I will get some more seeds and try again. With how degraded my artificial hips are and on account of my knees having advancing arthritis I find a lot of enjoyment in using my hands.
