Another Instance Of My Left Hip Joint Grinding
[ Saturday January 13th 2024 at 11:19 am ]

I have just experienced another setback with my artificial left hip. It has made the grinding noise again followed by smashing into my quad muscles. This is the 10th instance since December 22nd 2023. It really hurts. I am feeling weak. I am not going to be able to work on my planned chores for today. I am suddenly too physically weak. I need to lay down so my left side quad muscles are able to start recovering and not under the stress caused by sitting. Once I wake up I will give my the muscles that are affected a treatment using my physiotherapy ultrasound machine. I will follow this with a really warm soak in the tub. This will help the muscles relax and maximize the healing that is able to happen while I sleep for night.

For the long term I am going to ask the surgeon who replaced my hips to reassess why this is happening. I started writing him a letter explaining this a few days ago. I intentionally let the letter sit for a few days so I could read it with fresh eyes and ensure it made sense before I send it. I have also asked one of my friends if he'd be willing to read this over and if there are any changes that I need to make. I need the surgeon to grasp the severity of the situation that unfolds in my life when my hip grinds.
