Administered Treatment #10 For Rocky The Hamster's Abscess With Cryogenic Freezing

I just gave Rocky his next treatment for the abscess. I pay attention to Rocky's body language. I remove the cold when he indicates it is time. On this particular occasion when I removed the cold the abscess was temporarily white from the cold being applied. This is helpful. The theory is that the cells die and fall off. I've seen vets use the freezing treatment for warts when a surgical option doesn't exist. The idea being that the mass dies and falls off. I can't tell you just how happy I am to see the treatment go as I hope. With Rocky's age I've been so concerned for him to be operated on. This is safe. Rocky resumes regular hamster activities right after the treatment finishes. This is what I think is best for him.
