Purchased Shavings And Food For Rocky The Hamster

I am out of hamster shavings. I just went to the pet store to buy more. I have been changing Rocky's shavings in two parts. About 4 months Rocky felt very overwhelmed when I changed all the shavings at once. Now I change the area where he plays on one day and the area where he sleeps a few days later. Rocky does well with this.
I also purchased more hamster feed. I am going to need more in about 2 weeks. The vast majority of the hamster feed ends up going to waste. I am okay with this. Rocky The Hamster enjoys the challenge of foraging for his feed and storing it in his pantry. He is self disciplined. He doesn't eat more than he needs. As an enrichment activity this is completely worth it.
