Continued Progress Preparing My Table Saw Picture Frame Making Sled
[ Wednesday May 18th 2022 at 1:11 pm ]

I have made some decent progress on the table saw picture frame making sled. What I completed today is getting the 3 blocks of wood cut for 3 of the clamps to sit on and the clamps positioned. I have situated both the wood and toggle clamps with double sided tape originally designed to be used with carpet.. The idea is to give me a chance to look, evaluate and confirm that this will work as I expect it to. I don't want to have to do this twice. I am leaving it for 24 hours. Then if it still looks fine tomorrow and I am coming at this with a fresh set of eyes I will screw these in.

Two steps will remain after the screws are in place:

  • The two pieces of wood that will guide the sled in the table saw tracks
  • The piece of wood that will act as the end stop for cutting the picture frames

There still is one more assembly required before I have the laser engraver up and running. The laser engraver vent hood still needs to be setup. I have it partially assembled. The issues with my knees over the past few months interrupted with me completing this. Now I am strictly focusing on one project at a time so I bring things to completion.
