Nurse Practioner Has Resigned

I've just arrived home from my medical assessment with a brace specialist. There was a letter in my mail box from my local family doctor office. The nurse practitioner who has been substituting during the maternity leave of my family doctor has resigned effective May 7th 2022. I can only imagine what is going on behind the scenes. There has been wide spread discussion of health care worker burn out. I couldn't imagine the responsibility this nurse practitioner has had. If he is needing self care I hope this is pursued. Ultimately I am hoping he will move onto a new and exciting challenge. I can only imagine there is no lack of opportunities to serve in the health care. Even as me look to the future I expect health care is forever changed from the advancement in technology (like video based appointments) and the reliance on pharmacies to request prescription renewals.
