As I've changed the five stage drinking water filter cartridges I just placed an order for a replacement set. I want to ensure it is available for continued use. Including shipping these cost approximately $60CAD. This provides 12 months of service. This is substantially less expensive than bottled water. Additionally with many bottle water companies use a municipal water source. This drinking water filter allows me to attain a similar quality level.
Fundamentally I don't agree with bottle water because of the plastic waste it creates except in situations where a threat to human life or safety exists. I don't believe we are able to continue producing plastic at the present rate. I am glad I have the drinking water filter. It was a good investment for my home. I use a refillable metal drinking water bottle. This works well for me. It keeps drinking water handy where I am working. It is easy to drink sufficient water to keep myself from becoming dehydrated.
