Basement Swept With The Help Of A Friend
[ Friday February 18th 2022 at 5:50 pm ]

A friend stopped by to help me on his way home from work. Mid way through the crisis with the sump pump the water intake became clogged with sand and dirt. The basement floor needed sweeping to prevent this from happening in the future. He has done this as best as possible. This will need to be repeated once the remaining dirt dries. There is no cement pad under my kitchen. Some dirt has made it's way into the basement. It has taken several years to build up to the point where this was needed. At least this is easy to remedy. This is one of the things on my action plan to address the sump pump failure I experienced last night in the hopes of preventing a recurrence.

Physically I am spent. I feel like I've completed a marathon. My leg joints are hurting me. Above and around my right knee cap appears 70% bruised from the effort I put in to initially respond to the sump pump gear clamp failure. I am going to need at least another 2 days to begin feeling better. I am glad my furnace wasn't damaged. We are still in the midst of winter. I just want to make my life work and for it to become easier. I can't keep going at the physical pace I have been. With my knee buckling in mid December I am in a vulnerable position. I am really counting on my medical appointment on February 24th to start on a different trajectory. Otherwise I honestly don't know what I am going to do.
