Restored The Audio Recording - Music Computer After A RAID UUID Conflict
[ Wednesday November 3rd 2021 at 11:34 am ]

I run Ubuntu Studio 20.04 on my audio recording - music computer. I set it up with RAID 1 (software) to help make recovering from a failed drive easier. Presently linux RAID doesn't support RAID with boot EFI. I had to use a USB thumb drive for this and then it goes to RAID for the operating system. The kernel had to be updated. It updated the file /etc/fstab with the UUID of /dev/sda1 instead of keeping the UUID of my RAID. I didn't realize this happened until after I rebooted. I had to boot into live media to fix this. I just corrected this. When I set this up someone from a Ubuntu IRC channel assisted me. I setup a question and answer style entry on AskUbuntu.com to assist others. I've updated this if someone else finds themselves in this situation.
