A Wonderful Time In The Pool This Evening
[ Friday March 17th 2017 at 8:50 pm ]

I was talking to a life guard who is working on a school project: To design the layout of an accessible gym. The 'catch' is that her commitment to accessibility is way above and beyond the minimum building code needs. She is focused on what is helpful in practical terms. I am going to write out my ideas for her. Her hope is to create such a facility in her 5 year plan.

After this coversation ended a family arrived to use the pool: Mom and day, an approximate 2 year old daughter, 4 year old son and 9 year son. The 9 year old acts appropriately and is very respectful with me. His parents are doing a wonderful job raising him. We've included him in playing catch in the pool. Tonight he swam up to me wanting to play. I had a wonderful time with him while doing my stretches. His parents were each able to focus their time on one of their young child. It helps me so much doing this. It causes me pain when I am doing my pool physiotherapy. Being focused on something is extremely helpful in managing the pain while in the pool.
