Appointment For Pain Control

I've had another appointment for my pain control. Unfortunately I am displeased. I need to decide if I go to the powers that be or try a second time with the specialist before going to the powers that be if her opinion doesn't change.
What is troubling me is that the specialist is demonizing break through pain medication. My specific physical disability has always involved pain that is very volatile. They were trying to take steps to reduce my need for break through pain. But then they changed the goal posts to not needing it altogether. It just isn't practical. This is going to leave me suffering and right back to where I started. I will consider what I will do over several days. I can't do nothing. This type of thinking towards my treatment is toxic.
