Requested Switch To Tier Electricity Pricing

In response to covid19 the Government of Ontario set electricity as a fixed rate. This was how electricity was charged prior to smart meters. The covid19 fixed rate expires today.
The Government of Ontario has presented two options for electricity account holders:
- The first is to return to time of use pricing based on the smart meter
- The second is tier pricing
I've decided to sign up to tier pricing. What makes sense to me is that the bulk of activity happens in my home during day time hours. When I used the tool to confirm this my electricity bill would cost less money with tier pricing. Smart meter pricing is less expensive at night. So this is a lifestyle choice.
