Continuing The French Drain Digging
[ Saturday October 19th 2019 at 4:30 pm ]

The young adults have been here to help me again today. It is great seeing progress made in creating a French Drain at the rear of my property. It is also a relief. Ultimately I don't want flooding to cause mold or wreck my shed. The shed is crucial to my plans for self employment.

I've made an interesting discovery. We are finding all kinds of buried rocks mixed with broken glass and ceramic products. It has become obvious the unused rocks from the house being built were buried at the rear of my property. I am sure the intent was that they would never be seen again.

This is making the digging a lot harder. However seeing the youth and young adults being engaged in helping me, making them a meal and the casual conversations that happen are very worth while. Talking to the youth and young adults reminds me of the various adults that believed in me and helped me as I transitioned into my own adult life.
