A Really Encouraging Birthday Greeting From One Of The Young Adults From The Community I Support

I've arrived home from my birthday outing to a really encouraging birthday greeting from one of the young adults I support. His name is Kirkland. He lives in the community.

  • Happy Birthday! Thank you for being the amazing supportive person you are. I don’t know what I would’ve done without you all these years and what I would’ve done if I didn’t stop and walk with you that one morning. Thank you for being apart of my life and thank you for letting me be apart of yours ❤

I try very hard to give back when I am able to do so. It is my way of honoring the hundreds of thousands of dollars invested in me through my health care needs, disability pensions I receive and those who believed in me when I needed a lot of support to get through my own teen years, the separation of my parents and those who believed in me when I needed a lot of help while grieving the death of my mom.

When I was in college one of the students had a huge impression on me. He challenged me to leave things better than I found them. I can't respond to every challenging circumstance I become aware of. I do what I am able in fulfillment of this and the grace of God in my life.
