Results Of My MRI Imaging With My Family Doctor
[ Tuesday June 4th 2019 at 2:47 pm ]

Today's appointment with my family doctor has gone very well. I am feeling much more confident and comfortable with him.

My family doctor was sent the results of my MRI imaging. He reviewed this with me today. The MRI imaging shows cartilage tears in both of my knee joints. For almost the past 3 years my family doctor had only been willing to agree to disagree over a diagnosis with me. I have a long history of living with chronic pain and understanding what the various pain sensations mean. I was confident I required knee surgery. I held my ground.

We also talked about my lower back pain. I have some exercises to do. My family doctor had me practice in his office to ensure this was something I could actually do. He was very good about this.

Finally we did my pain control medication review. This is fairly routine. It helps to know there is a reason why I am in pain. My family doctor has been consistently compassionate with my pain control. This is one of the things I really appreciate about him.

Overall it was a good appointment. I am able to continue moving forward in my life and goals.
