Wrapping Up My Shared Drive Way With A Neighbor From The Winter
[ Monday April 29th 2019 at 10:41 am ]

This winter a neighbor asked to park in my drive way. There are too many vehicles for his shared accommodation drive way. I bartered parking for keeping my sidewalk clean.

Overall this has been helpful to me. I am glad I did this. The past 2 months have created challenges on account of this arrangement:

  • His vehicle idling in the morning has been waking me up from my sleep. It is very hard for me to get into a deep sleep; It doesn't take a lot to wake me up. My physical disability disrupts my sleep.
  • It has also been really hard for me to get to and from the street using crutches when friends have taken me out. I am committed to living my life. This is important to me.

The winter snow has melted. Curb side parking is now allowed. The natural conclusion for this has been reached. I am not sure that I would do this again. However it was a good arrangement for this winter.
