- Order your goals in order of priority and when practical not assigning a time frame you hope to accomplish each tasks in. When missing a time frame you may experience unnecessary disappointment and loose heart with the adversity you face each day. Not assigning a time frame will help avoid you from experiencing an emotional downward spiral. Living with chronic pain brings uncertainty. The fact that you completed a task is often more important than the time it took to complete it.
