Ordered Non Perishable Groceries
[ Sunday April 14th 2019 at 1:42 pm ]

I've ordered more non perishable groceries. However today's order is concerning me. I've been seeing the trend over the past few months less non perishable items I've purchased in the past are now being made available for shipping. It seems to me WalMart's grocery orders are trending towards buying online and pickup at the local store. I will need to monitor this closely.

If this is in fact true I will need to devise a different strategy for my non perishable groceries. The amount of groceries I've been ordering would take me between 9 and 12 trips with my power wheelchair. This isn't viable. I am sure there are other options for me.

  • I could stock up on non perishable items by having a friend take me out periodically.
  • The city where I live has enabled "on demand" evening public transit bus routes. This service creates routes "on the fly" based on need. This certainly could get me near my home with a large load of groceries.

Planning ahead has helped me so many times. I am just trying to stay ahead of what is needed to keep me alive so I am able to do what I enjoy with each new day.
