Further Correspondence From The Heating Company Sales Employee
[ Thursday January 3rd 2019 at 10:32 pm ]

This evening I've continued to exchange a handful of e-mails with the sales employee from the company I purchased my furnace from. Ultimately what has been said to me is once the current part fails several more will also fail.

This quickly becomes the same scenario of vehicle maintenance: Do you keep putting money into a vehicle when you won't fully benefit from your hard earned money? The part that is wearing out is significant. When it does the recommendation is to start over in order to get the best value for my money.

I did learn from this experience that I need to make some adjustments to my budget. I need to be setting aside $30 a month to have the financial means of buying a new furnace every 15 years. By extension the same is true for the shingles on my home. This is something that must be regularly saved towards since it is a large expense all at once.
