I've Ordered The Audio Cables To Join The Wireless Microphone Receiver To Sound System Mixer Board

My wireless microphone system needs standard XLR cables to transit my voice into the mixer board. The practical solution for my specific setup is to use short XLR cables. When I purchased my supply of cables I did not purchase any small ones. I've just created an order for when these are to become available within a few months.
I am a bit torn between the 2 smallest sizes. What I've ordered is 16 inches. But if part of the 16 inches includes the cable ends then I will need the next size up. I want to give the sound system mixer board the ability to slide forward for ease of use. I will think about this. I can always change my order to 3 feet.
Ultimately what I don't want to have happen is long cables hanging down from the mixer board. This could present a tripping hazard. I try very hard to help myself and make the most of my situation. I don't want to cause myself further complications with my health care treatment. I've already had my share of unanticipated challenges. In short I am trying to do what is best for myself.
