Reached Out To The Arthritis Society
[ Saturday December 1st 2018 at 2:43 pm ]

In ~2010 I was graciously given 3 appointments with an Arthritis Society physiotherapist. At the time conventional physiotherapy for my hip joints had been exhausted. My hip joints were beyond the ability to be restored. I didn't have a surgeon who was willing to step up to performing hip replacement surgery on me.

I am in a situation even more complicated now. Both of my hip joints have been replaced. I didn't recover as was expected. You just can't complete a course of physiotherapy for hip replacement surgery with both of your knee joints in a deteriorated state. I've earnestly tried.

I've again reached out to the Arthritis Society to inquire if the same service could be made available to me. I certainly need it. Why I am taking this approach opposed to attending any of the physiotherapy clinics here in town is that the approach to physiotherapy is different. The surgeon who performed my viscosupplementation injections affirmed the presence of arthritis in my knee joints based on the symptoms. I need the mindset that approaches physiotherapy on an arthritic joint.
