Donating My Modified Skates
[ Monday August 20th 2018 at 1:04 pm ]

Last week I reached out to a pediatrist I know. This persons job involves modifying footwear to accommodate a leg length discrepancy. I suffered from this due to my Legg Perthes disease. Even though I haven't made the recovery expected my leg length discrepency was surgically addressed when my hip joints were replaced. I've come across my skates. I can't use them any more. They are in excellent condition.

A donation to a thrift store isn't practical given that they were modified. I want to donate them to someone in need who will appreciate this. I've just had confirmation that my pediatrist friend will accept this and follow through with my plan for rehoming these skates. I am very pleased about this.
