Discrimination By A Store Employee While Out Shopping
[ Wednesday November 16th 2016 at 1:04 pm ]

I've just experienced one of the worst incidents of discrimination of the past 11 years. A store employee asked me how I was doing. I was honest. I am having serious trouble with my right knee joint. The store employee's response was very inappropriate: To get up and walk. I use a power wheelchair out of necessity. I am working closely with my family doctor and physiotherapist. I continue to puse forward regardless of the setbacks I've experienced.

People generally have a hard time putting their finger on what is wrong with me. You can't tell by looking at me. I intend on contacting the CEO of the business and kindly request a program be put in place for interacting with customers who have disabilities. I am properly disguisted. I don't often get mad. I find this completely unacceptable.
