Left Phone Message For My Surgeon About My Pain Being Out Of Control
[ Thursday September 14th 2017 at 10:35 pm ]

Once again my pain has gone out of control. Tonight is the sixth instance where I've wanted to attend the local emergency department of my hospital during the past 2 weeks. This has been a physical marathon. When I had my hip joints replaced I had hoped to leave this behind me.

I am still hesitant to attend the emergency department. I don't want an ER doctor to do something to my knee joints which will remove options from the surgeon who will be shortly assessing me.

I've decided to put up with the pain for tonight. I've just left a phone message to the surgeon's administrative assistant explaining this and asking for a pain control recommendation I could present to an ER doctor in the event my pain continues to go out of control.

If I can't get my pain under control almost immediately I won't be able to maintain my independence. I have to take care of my body before I am able to engage in the absolute essential activities of day to day life.
