Setup Appointment For Completing Special Diet Allowance Application
[ Monday July 27th 2026 at 1:40 pm ]

I just finished another appointment with my family doctor. It went well. I started on blood pressure medication about 6 weeks ago. There has been no escaping the pain and nausea caused by pain my body is causing me to experience. Then when you factor in the poor quality sleep this is causing me to experience the result is my blood pressure being elevated. Since my blood pressure medication is working well the next step of this is receiving the special diet allowance the Ontario Disability Support Program has available for those recipients who have been diagnosed with high blood pressure. What this will do for me is provide an additional $86 a month towards the cost of food. This should really help. There is very little prepared food I purchase. I normally buy a mixture of fresh as well as frozen vegetables & fruit to eat. This additional $86 will approximately put me in alignment with what it is actually costing me for groceries. I am trying my best to make life work. As well as best as possible I am trying to trust the medical process I am enduring with my joints.
