Another Hospital Room Visit With My Surgeon

My surgeon just came to my room to see me again today. When he came to my hospital room yesterday I forgot to tell him that about 70% of the pain pre-surgery is gone. He was so happy to hear me say this and so glad the surgery has made me feel better.
I haven't needed the anti nausea medication once we got my post surgery pain controlled. Now I am able to wash myself out of the sink, do my walking and exercises without my body attacking me.
I told him about my walks today. He was pleased with this being day 4 post surgery. I have told him I need to do another day of this and then I will be ready to go home on Thursday.
I also wanted to say to my surgeon that my blood pressure was high because I was well aware of the weight of the decision to replace my right knee joint and the uncertainty this creates. His response was that there was no doubt it was this.
I told my surgeon I really don't need him until the 6 week follow up. It my turn now. We've agreed to one more day as an inpatient. Then see an inpatient physiotherapist Thursday morning to recommend I go home. He had said he is doing day surgeries tomorrow at the same hospital as the outpatient orthopaedic clinic and can't make it tomorrow. I really don't need him until the follow up appointment and it is my turn now.
I told him the same as yesterday. I don't want to do the fluid draining surgery until my right knee joint has plateaued and then I've had time to try for 2 or 3 more weeks. I don't want to start nothing new until my right knee joint doesn't need rehab.
Again I told him how grateful I am for the help he has been for my life. My surgeon and I are both pleased with how this is going.
