Arranged A Pre Surgery Physiotherapy Consultation

The head of physiotherapy called me just now. I've talked to him previously about my hip surgery. But since it was hip revision surgery all that was needed was a discussion about my outpatient physiotherapy.
This time when he said his name I responded "Do you remember me? I am glutton for punishment."
He said to me "This is your first knee surgery. I would normally bring you in ahead of time to go over the procedure with you. " Without thinking I told him we can do that. I explained I am arriving in Kingston using VIA Rail on April 22nd. Literally on my way to the hotel I've lined up this appointment.
My surgeon has put the fear of God in me over the recovery from having my knee replaced and doing the physiotherapy right.
I've surprised the head physiotherapist. I told him I have a knee anatomy teaching model and I'd like to bring it to this appointment. I said I know bugger all about knee joints. He giggled and said "Well you are about to learn all about knees." I responded "I suppose I am." Then he started laughing again.
I am going to spell out that I am loosing the strength in my quad muscles. I will also bring my knee slider board to this appointment.
Specifically he wants to go over the movement restrictions that would cause me to dislocate the artificial knee while it is still healing. He also wants to review the basic physiotherapy so I can manage at home until I start using a warm water therapy pool.
