Ordered Replacement Power Supplies For My Servers

Canada Post has been unreliable because of not having a contract and going on strike. There was a period when eBay prevented sellers from using Canada Post as the delivery service. On October 14th 2025 I wanted to order new power supplies for my servers. The seller of the suitable power supply I selected won't shipping to Canada on account of eBay placing this restriction on Canada Post. Now that Canada Post is doing rotating strikes at designated locations the seller is willing to accept my order.
We are into a time frame that will have the power supplies arrive while I am hospitalized following my right artificial hip. I have checked with my friend Andy to ask if he'd disconnect the original power supplies and connect the new ones. He is willing. His employment involves mandated Transport Canada safety checks for the train rail service in Canada. He has to work between Christmas and New Year's. It is likely he will be available to assist me in January 2026. I am taking this step after one power supply burned out in September 2025. After 8 years of service it is a justifiable expense and preventative maintenance that makes sense to me. This coming winter will be designated towards the recovery from my revision hip surgery. I am making the decision to plan for maintenance instead of reacting to when the next power supply fails.
