The hotel I have been staying at told me about their compassionate travel policy. They have a 10% discount for when an over night stay is required as part of their medical treatment. I just reached out to them to find out if this also includes family members. It does. My sister has expressed some interest in visiting me when I have my right artificial hip replaced if the timing works out. An in person visit would be nice. There is something special about being together. The hospital where I had my surgery has a guide for friends of their patient to help in their care during their hospital stay.
