Activated My New Cell Phone
[ Friday November 22nd 2024 at 10:28 pm ]

Today has been absolutely miserable. I've had a really hard pain day. I've had really bad nausea. I also at one point I Felt like I was going to faint from the pain. It was really hard.

A few minutes ago I put something in the recycling box. This is just outside the main entrance into my home. The arm was up on my mailbox. I couldn't figure out why since Canada Post is on strike.

When I checked my mail I discovered the SIM card for the cell phone provider I signed up with 2 days ago was delivered today. It has been couriered to me. The cell phone provider has clearly made the decision to keep growing their business. They have adapted with Canada Post on strike. I have just finished putting in the SIM card, entering the activation code on my account and then setting up the cell phone settings so it would switch from the cell phone provider I used in June 2024 for 1 month.

Today has been so hard. This nausea I experienced is so debilitating. But the day is ending well for me. The cell phone represents my ability to summon help related to my physical disability. I feel safer now that this is situated. I have talked over "what now" with my friends. The use of a cell phone was an actionable item that could help me maximize my life and using my smart watch could rescue me if I get stuck if my body lets me down.

  • My right knee has buckled 3 times.
  • My knees have quit working while I was in the tub twice. I had to use my upper body to get myself out while trying to restart my knees.
  • Earlier this week I temporarily lost control of my left hip. This caused me to fall into a wall.

In short the SIM crard arriving is the beginning of a new chapter for my life.
