Assisted My Neighbour With Her New Mobility Scooter

The mobility scooter my neighbour purchased has been delivered. I told her I would help get her started. This is why I spent time on today. It was really enjoyable. I remember when I got my first power wheelchair. It was stressful. This was for me to have a better life. But there was a very steep learning curve. I have a first hand idea of what my neighbour might be going through right now. I am glad to listen and talk through what is involved in very practical way and the limits of the mobility scooter. There was basic assembly that needed to happen today. The LED lights needed to be connected. The tires needed inflating. Nothing too strenuous was required. I was able to sit in a way that didn't strain my hips or knees. But for the most part I did a lot of listening to help my neighbour have a successful start to using her mobility scooter.
