The SSD Drives For Setting Up My Linux Single Board Computer Router Have Been Delivered
[ Sunday March 31st 2024 at 3:49 pm ]

I have wonderful news to share this afternoon. The pair of SSD drives I ordered have just been delivered to my home. I will be using these as I setup my next server. I will be installing Linux on this machine and then configuring the server to be a router. The router I am using right now is on the verge of wearing out. When it reboots it goes into a "fail safe" mode. The insides of it are wearing out. I am suspicious that this is on account of the heat created as a by product of the processing involved in hosting my own website. I can't keep replacing my router so frequently. It is clear that I need a more robust model. I am setting up what is used in commercial applications. The silver lining in this situation is that I am beginning to experience growth on my website that has required this. I have been intentionally focused on this during the past few months with how physically challenging my life has become courtesy of my damn left artificial hip that keeps malfunctioning. This has given me purpose in life. Otherwise I would be more focused on the grind that has become my life. I am not saying that I'd sign up for one of my artificial hips to experience hardware failure or malfunction. It is during these times in my life that are really hard when I think of content for my website that will make a meaningful difference in helping others through their own struggles. For me this helps redeem some of the challenges I am enduring and makes it worth it.
