Window Air Conditioner Is Removed For The Winter

I woke up around 6:30 AM to the house being cold. my furnace didn't seem to be working correctly. The air flow felt weak. I wasn't surprised when it outright died. I am not cold. I own an electric space heater as my backup plan for when my furnace breaks. My planning has worked. In this sense it hasn't been a panic.
One of the things I am able to do in keeping my home from being so cold is getting the window air conditioner put away for winter. A friend just did this for me. There isn't a draft coming from the window now. Since it is the weekend and my home is suitable comfortable I am going to wait until tomorrow to call for maintenance of my furnace. I can get by for 1 day using my oil filled space heater.
I am glad this is done. I am grateful Joe was available to help me do this. The weight of a window air conditioner means i really need someone to assist me. I am able to scratch this off my "to do" list. I am always glad when I complete an item on my list.
