Purchased Watermelon For Rocky The Hamster

Rocky The Hamster has had a rough 24 hours. He was running a fever when I checked on him. This was causing him to shake uncontrollably. I expect when the abscess came off a few days ago some bacteria get into his body and he fighting this. The antibiotic and antiseptic I applied has worked. The fever has passed. Now I am trying to help Rocky's body recover. I have just stopped at the grocery store and purchased a watermelon. This is an easy way to give Rocky water. He likes eating melon. I think this will help keep his morale up as he goes through his recovery. I am trying my best to give Rocky a good life. I love him. I don't mind having a special needs hamster. I am perfectly willing to care for him.
