Smoke Detector Battery Wore Out

I have just had an unpleasant surprise. One of my smoke detectors just started chirping. I passionately hate the sound of a smoke detector going on. Initially this was more concerning. It was chirping without actually going off. I removed the smoke - carbon monoxide detector. On the back was a label listing what the various noises it made means. In this situation the unit is alerting to the battery being worn out. This particular smoke detector is a sealed unit. There isn't an option to replace the battery. Tomorrow I will go to Home Depot and purchase a replacement.
