Changed The Storage Drive For The Weather Station Server

One of my hobbies is maintaining a weather station. I broadcast the weather data it collects to a combined total of 8 organizations and weather related websites. I enjoy this. It is nice to have something to contribute with the state of my legs. This helps me feel better about receiving help. I don't want to just continually be receiving help. It is important to me that I have something to contribute as well.
A week ago I received a notification that the drive my weather station server uses needs to be replaced. I took a few days to assess recent development in available drives. I wanted time to assess the difference between SSD and HDD drives. I also wanted time to study buffering used when writing to the drives. I ordered a replacement. It arrived earlier today. I have now physically connected it, installed the operating system and the program that processes my weather station data.
I've enjoyed working on this. It has been a bit of brain work. I enjoy the technical nature of this. Also Debian 12 is being released in just a few weeks. I will have software updates to complete at that time. This is a nice paced hobby for me.
