Ordered Crepe / Tortilla Maker
[ Thursday April 6th 2023 at 9:23 am ]

I've been making a tortilla for my lunch. I haven't found cutting up the vegetables hard in terms of my physical disability. I don't always have meat with this. It has been filling. The cost of 10 tortillas has nearly doubled since the pandemic was declared in 2020. With how well my kitchen stand mixer works for me I've decided to buy a tortilla maker.

I tried buying one of these about 10 years ago. What I purchased was a press. It didn't pan out. Without a heating element this really wasn't helpful to me. It got way too hard with my physical limits and I gave up. Instead this time I've ordered the state that you dip the tortilla maker into the liquid batter and it cooks shortly thereafter.

I found a model for sale on Amazon but the reviews raised quality assurance issues and a recurring theme of returns. It seemed worth while buying the cordless Salton Crepe & Tortilla Maker model. The reviews are very favourable. This model has been in production since 2011. It looks like this is a solid product.

On a whim I decided to do a search to see if I could find a better price. I did. The Shopping Channel recently featured this product. It was approximately the same price as the corded model. I've ordered this them. It will be here in a few days. Then I can make a batch up and freeze them. The local store is again sold out. This will be more reliable. This should start saving me money after about 6 months.
