Purchased New Parts To Change The Sump Pump Discharge Connection

Some of the gear clamps securing the one way check valve for my sump pump discharge are loosing their grip. I've decided to go back to a solvent welded check valve. I have purchased ABS drain parts to accomplish this with a union to connect to the remainder of the drain. Last year one of the gear clamps worked it's way free. My basement had begun flooding. I was home at the time. I got the upper hand on it before my furnace was damaged. It is best to replace the sump pump to discharge drain while I am replacing the sump pump. This is the alternative to monitoring the gear clamps for being tight. This amounts to one last thing being on my mind.
