Making A Peanut Butter Pie For Fun
[ Monday November 28th 2022 at 7:01 pm ]

I have been playing mini golf with a group of friends. Over time we have been getting to know each other. One of the people surprised me. She said her dad was making a peanut butter pie for their family gathering with the United States Thanksgiving. I had never heard of such a thing. I got curious. I decided I would give it a try. It worked out amazing. I could not possibly eat this each day. It is very high in calories. This tasted like ice cream. It is a wonderful treat.

Making this wasn't hard. I stirred together a cup of cream cheese, 35% whipping cream, all natural peanut butter, chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of peppermint extract. I purchased a Graham Cracker pie shell from the grocery store. Once the liquid settled I baked it at 325° F for 10 minutes. I left this in the oven while the oven cooled down. Then I refrigerated it for the ingredients to become firm.

The preparation wasn't hard. On account of my physical disability I use a stand mixer. The use of a stand mixer solved me putting stress on my hips and knees while stirring. Once it is chilled I cut it into 12 services and freeze it. It tastes like ice cream. It is a nice treat. Making a pie based on peanut butter is something I never thought of before. I am really glad I tried.
