My Chronic Pain Is Going To Be Re-Assessed
[ Friday October 14th 2022 at 1:31 pm ]

My right knee joint buckled for a second time on September 30th. The knee joint just isn't doing okay. The symptoms are worse than when the knee joint stabilized following buckling in mid December 2021. My pain has been spiralling out of control as a result. I just don't have the upper hand on the pain right now.

This has become the perfect storm: The broken sleep and pain have been so debilitating. I know I am needing help. I have the direct e-mail address for my pain management doctor specialist. Earlier in the week I sent him an e-mail asking that my pain be re-assessed and briefly explained the reasons why I was asking. Ultimately since chronic pain is being such a hindrance on my day to day life I made the case that this would bring the most stability to my life.

This has been agreed to. The only down side is that the doctor wants to spend a full 30 minutes with me because what is wrong is so complicated. The first available appointment is in 4 weeks. His administrative assistant did say she would contact me if an earlier appointment would become available. I am committed to my life. I am trying to do what I can to help myself. If I need more short term help either my family doctor office or if I reach the threshold where this is required during a weekend I would go to the local hospital emergency department for assistant.
